The Pre-School Program
which includes Playgroup, Pre-School & Pre-Kindergarten is purposefully designed for children from 18months to 4 years, so each child may grow and develop at his or her own pace. Care is taken in choosing equipment and planning curriculum to provide a wide range of activities and experiences. They are designed to meet child’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs. Our trained staff will introduce your child to a well prepared environment, structured work stations, name recognition, color awareness, geometrical shapes, and phonics. A child-centered learning process that respect each child as an individual and fosters self motivation. Children are free to move around and work with materials because “Movement starts the intellect working”.
(Maria Montessori, Her Life and Work).
We engage the children in practical life exercises; for fine and gross motor skill development, care of self, care of the environment plus social grace and courtesy which prepares them for future learning.
Development of concentration, order, confidence, independence, eye hand co-ordination, wrist and finger muscle development, left to right and top to bottom concepts are forms the bulk of the curriculum in practical life. These activities actualize “Normalization”. We refine their sense through the use of sensorial materials because children learn through their senses. “Hand is the instrument of man’s intelligence”. (Montessori Absorbent Mind, Chapt. 3, Pg. 25).
How to Enroll
Enrollment is easy and straight forward, you can register online via our website @ www.kpraizmontessori.com or pay us a visit in school Prior to the child’s first day, the parents are required to meet the Administrator/ Program Director to tour the Center, obtain required forms, and discuss the philosophy and program of K-Praiz. At this time, all policies are discussed and fee schedules explained to the parents. We ask that parents to bring their child in, prior to his/her first day, just to “look around” and get acquainted with the place.
School Tour
Orientation is a time when the parents can come in to see the school and discuss the type of program, we can offer their children. It is a time for the parents to be reassured that they know what will be going on during the day while their child is in our CARE. This is also a time when parents can ask questions about the school. During this visit parents are given the opportunity to look around our facility and be shown the location of their child’s classroom.
